5 Places to visit as an International Student in Ireland

The Emerald Isle is an enthralling country with Celtic, Viking, and Anglo-Norman cultures deeply embedded and intertwined throughout its incredible history. The international love affair with Ireland is easy to understand, with beautiful landscapes, charming locals, and a fervent passion for music and partying.

Making a list of the best places to visit in Ireland isn’t as simple as you might think. You might be surprised to learn that the list will be far from short!

However, if all you want is a good time, then you can’t go wrong with any of the following mentions!

CLIFFS OF MOHER

It is a name derived from an old promontory first called Mother or Moher. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Ireland. As of 2022, the center charges E10 per adult or E9 for students and seniors when booked in advance online. What makes it special is the natural presence of a wide range of flora and fauna, with as many as 20 different species of birds to be seen. Do you also know that this attraction has been featured in many movies like Princess Brice, Leap Year, and so many more!

You should definitely visit.

THE GUINNESS STOREHOUSE EXPERIENCE

This exceptional store explains the history of beer, and houses the Guinness Archives, which contain records and artifacts dating back to 1759. It has seven floors and is surrounded by a glass atrium shaped like a pint of Guinness. It’s also worth noting that Arthur Guinness founded the brewery. If you want to learn about the history, heart, and soul of one of Ireland’s most famous beers, the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin City is a must-see.

TEMPLE BAR

Temple Bar, founded in 1840, is a bustling neighborhood with cobbled pedestrian streets. You will always feel at home at the temple bar, whether you are alone or with a group of friends. It is well-known for its traditional cuisine. The ambiance and home of traditional Irish music all day every day, and its vast whiskey and beer collections.

Another attraction worth visiting!

KILLARNEY NATIONAL PARK

Are you interested in exploring mountains, lakes, woodlands, and waterfalls? Then, this is for you. Located in the southwest of Ireland in Co. Kerry, the park can be reached by train, car, and bus. It is Ireland’s first national park and has high ecological value due to the high quality, diversity, and extent of many of its habitats and the wide range of species that they support.

THE TITANIC MUSEUM BELFAST

The last on our list is the Titanic Museum in Belfast, which is a world-renowned visitor attraction. The building is intended to reflect Belfast’s history of ship-making industrial legacy and is located next to the Titanic subways, where the Titanic was designed, built, and launched. It also provides education, community, retail, and restaurant facilities, as well as a community resource center. Visitors would find all nine interpretative and interactive galleries really exciting. They include The Shipyard, The Launch, The Aftermath, and Titanic Beneath, amongst others.
